Jenn's background is in secondary education, and whilst she loved teaching English, her passion for inclusive practice and securing equity for learners was always evident. As Head of English, her role encompassed literacy interventions and whole school reading strategy. As Deputy Headteacher in charge of core, she was also the strategic lead for SEND and inclusion.

In 2019, Jenn's son was diagnosed with autism, which was the inspiration for her gaining the National SENDCo Award and securing a SENDCo post.
