Cars on a motorway – Nursery Managers Show

By car

The NEC is clearly signposted from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6. Put B40 1NT in your Sat Nav to get close, then look out for signs labelled ‘Nursery Managers Show’, in Hall 11.

Remember to plan your journey in advance and keep up to date with what’s happening on the roads via Highways England’s website.

Book your parking up to 3 months in advance here to save money and avoid payment queues, from £12.85. Note: if you do decide to pay for your parking on the day, the NEC parking ticket machines only accept cards, not cash.

After parking, make your way along the signposted footpaths or catch one of the NEC’s free shuttle buses, all of which are wheelchair-accessible and kneeling.

Train – Nursery Managers Show

By train

The NEC is located a five- to ten-minute walk from Birmingham International station. Direct services to Birmingham International run very often, or you can catch a train to Birmingham New Street and change. Book your tickets in advance using the National Rail or Trainline websites.

More than 120 National Express and Megabus coach services run daily across the UK to Birmingham Airport / International, located near the NEC. Use the National Express and Megabus websites to check timings and book. Or if you are coming from nearby, try the Transport for West Midlands website.
Bicycle – Nursery Managers Show

By bike or on foot

If you’re really local, you might want to walk or cycle to the show. If so, the best way to get to the NEC is to use the shared cycle footpath route to Birmingham International Railway Station and do the ten-minute walk from there. The Solihull Council Cycling and Walking Map has more information.

For more information and directions, check out the NEC’s travel page.

Birmingham International train station has step-free access, and access from there to the NEC is via the covered ‘Bridgelink’ which is also wheelchair-accessible.

For parking, the NEC website says: “If you have a disabled parking permit you don’t need to pre-arrange anything. When you arrive on site, follow the appropriate blue signage for your event and show your badge to the Attendant. You can pay online by booking Standard Parking through the link above. Book ahead of time to save money.” Shuttle buses from the car parks are wheelchair-accessible.

All levels of the NEC are accessible to wheelchair users via lifts and have wheelchair-friendly toilet facilities. The Piazza and Atrium main entrances have automatic doors.

The NEC website has an accessibility page with more information. You may also like to look at Accessable which has detailed access guides for the NEC.

Items are charged at £2 per coat and £3 per bag (cloakrooms are open 30 minutes prior the event opening and close when the event closes). For more information, visit the NEC website.
